Happy Pudsey Day! Many thanks for all your kind donations. This money has now been sent to the BBC Children in Need appeal.

This week in year one we have been busy practising our number bonds to 10! We have made number bond paper chains, used hand cut-outs to work them out using fingers and coloured in tens frames. Some of us have even had a go at some very complicated missing number problems. Well done Year 1!

In English, we have all had a go at writing our own class versions of ‘Foggy Foggy Forest’. All sorts of different things appeared in the forest this time including a pig wearing a funny wig, ………… The children have made amazing progress with their writing this term and we  have  been delighted with their enthusiasm and commitment to learning.

During our afternoon ‘Quest’ sessions, children from across the classes have been working together to create large-scale models of deciduous and evergreen trees, complete with classification labels! We hope that your children are enjoying spotting different types of trees out in their local environment.

Over the next few days we will be sending nativity songs word home to practise! Please encourage your child to learn these off my heart! We are sure that you will enjoy hearing them as much as we enjoy singing them!
