Our focus story this week has been ‘Handa’s Surprise’ where a little girl goes on a journey to meet her friend carrying a large basket full of tropical fruits. There is a twist however, and Handa’s friend, Akeyo, is presented with the basket containing a surprise! Perhaps your children can explain what happened?
The children have enjoyed looking after our poorly animals at the vets and have been creating animal homes using recycled materials as well as construction. They have also been tasting some fruity jam on toast this week, which has been very popular!
Please have a look at the Home Learning that has been attached to find some fun activities that link to each area of your child’s learning. We would love to hear from you about your child’s home learning. Please could you email these to us at: firstname.lastname@example.org .
A few reminders:
- For our cooking activity this week, we will be making jacket potatoes with baked beans. The only ingredients we are using will be baked beans and potatoes, if your child has any allergies to these or you do not want them to take part please let your child’s teacher know.
- We are collecting recycled materials for our junk modelling station. Due to allergies that we have in school we would only like containers that have not had any contact with food e.g. tissue boxes and tubes. Please could the items be brought in a bag and labelled, if possible, with the date they are brought in. Thank you
