We’re Going on an Egg Hunt
This week we have been looking at the story ‘We’re Going on an Egg Hunt’, which has made everyone very excited about Easter time. The children have thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as bunnies and hiding eggs around the playground for their friends to find.
We have been talking all about spring and new life. The children have enjoyed going on spring hunts, learning about baby animals and creating some beautiful spring pictures.
To encourage discussion around new life, we have set up the two role-play areas with babies and the vets. The children have shown how caring they are when looking after both the animals and the baby dolls.
We have been exploring how to make our vocabulary grow and have learnt three new words for ‘hunt’. These are: search, scour and rootle about.
We have learnt the signs: rabbit, chick and egg.
Please find the home learning for the first week back below. We all hope that you have a wonderful Easter break and look forward to seeing you in the summer term.
Message for Reception:
The children will continue to have access to Bug Club to support their reading development at home. If there are any issues accessing Bug Club, then please let the class teacher know.
