This week we have been learning all about Wales.
In geography we have been locating Cardiff and thinking about how we might travel to Wales from England. We have been looking at the physical geographical features of Mount Snowdon and thinking how the weather might change from the bottom of the mountain to the top.
We had a wonderful time learning some Welsh traditional dances in PE. The children worked in partners learning to reel dance.
It has been anti-bullying week this week. As part of this the children have constructed worry boxes using their DT and ICT knowledge. These will be sent home for the children to place any worries into. We have also made helping hands in PSHE to show the trusted adults we can tell our worries too.
The year one team have been impressed with the children’s exploration of 2D and 3D shape. They have also created repeating patterns using 2D shapes.
In art, we have been working on colour mixing exploring primary and secondary colours.
Next week we are off to a country with a slightly cooler climate, I wonder where we will be visiting?
