Bonnie Scotland

This week we have been learning all about Scotland.

As part of our EXPLORE challenges we have had to: make a Scottish landmark, design our own tartan and paint pictures of the Loch Ness Monster.

Our favourite facts about Scotland have been:

The national animal is a unicorn.

The Scottish eat Haggis (stuffed sheep’s stomach)

Some Scottish men wear a type of skirt called a kilt.

We had great fun learning to Scottish dance in PE. The highland fling was certainly exhausting!

In English, we have been writing our own stories based on “Stuck”. This time we had a naughty elf who was throwing all kinds of toys and winter objects into a Christmas tree.

Maths has been learning all about partitioning 2 digit numbers into tens and ones.  We have been practicing saying and writing our teen numbers.

In ICT we have been having a go at completing some Expresso coding. The children have impressed with their confidence and focus.
