What a busy week we have had in year 2! The children have thoroughly enjoyed all the exciting learning and play activities this week,
On Wednesday morning the children enjoyed their red badge treat which they have worked hard for all term. They rotated around a range of activities including; baking shortbread biscuits, parachute games, football skills, tag rugby games and team building games. Photographs can be seen below;
During the week the children have been working hard to complete an English and DT project, producing a ‘That’s not my…’ book which they shared with the children in reception and nursery. It was fantastic to see how much they all enjoyed this! Photographs can be seen below;
We wish you all a happy summer holiday!
The Year 2 Team
Pirates, Donkeys and Stories
We have had a busy week being pirates and sailing out to sea in search of treasure. Along the way we have encountered many sharks and mermaids. Some of us even had to walk the plank and swim away from crocodiles.
The highlight of our week has been our visit from Zippo and Rupert the donkeys from The Donkey Sanctuary! We learned all about how to care for donkeys and how important they are in helping people in other countries. The children had a wonderful time and we hope you enjoy the photos.
We had a lovely time with the Year 2 children who came to show us their DT projects which were ‘tactile books’ that they had written and designed.
As we have surplus party food from the Royal Wedding picnic, we have decided to treat the children to an end of term party on Tuesday afternoon. If there are any allergies, please speak to your child’s teacher.
This is our last blog of the academic year so we would like to wish you all a lovely holiday and thank you for your support throughout the year.
The FS team
It has been a wonderful year this year with lots of topics and learning taking place. Over the summer holidays we would like you to have a go at some of the activities mentioned in the summer holiday home learning bingo.
We would like to thank all the parents and carers for all their support over the year.
